A 44-year-old Glovertown man was arrested as part of an investigation into a stolen enclosed trailer in Gander. On Monday, November 7, RCMP received a report of the trailer being stolen overnight while it was parked at a local furniture store. The trailer containing approximately $7,000 worth of furniture was stolen that morning. The video, which was taken at 4am, shows a 2020 dark gray trailer-mounted truck with license plate TKR 701. Later that night, after further investigation, police obtained a warrant to search a home in Glovertown. Most of the stolen furniture was located inside. The occupant of the house was arrested. He was released to appear in court to answer a charge of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. Meanwhile, on Nov. 5, Glovertown RCMP received a report of a stolen gray Dodge Ram truck — with license plate NL CPX 367 — taken between 8 p.m. Nov. 4 and 7:30 A.M. of the 5th of November. Police are still investigating whether the stolen truck was used to steal the trailer. Police are continuing to search for the stolen truck and trailer.
