A first rape complaint was filed on May 25, which led to the investigation being launched on May 27. A second complaint was filed June 16, the prosecutor’s office said. Officials in the minister’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment. French media reported earlier that the allegations were related to her professional activity. Another newly appointed minister, Damien Abad, Minister of Solidarity and Disability, is already facing increasing pressure on rape allegations made by two women.
