Police were first called to an apartment building on Humber Avenue near Weston Road and Black Creek Drive at 2:42 p.m.  for shooting reports.
Toronto Const.  Alex Lee said police located a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old boy who were suffering from gunshot wounds.  Both were rushed to hospital in critical condition.
“It’s worrying, especially when young people are being shot,” Lee said.

He noted that up to 15 shots were heard in the area.
“We have already spoken to many witnesses. As you can tell, there are many apartments behind us and mansions. We want to thank the people of the community who came out and helped us with the first information,” Lee said.
“I want to confirm the fact that we have developed all the available resources in the area to keep the area safe.”

Police are investigating two more shots in broad daylight

Around 4:17 p.m., Lee said officers responded to another shot at Amaranth Court, north of Allen Road and Lawrence Avenue West.

When they arrived, police located a man with a gunshot wound.  Lee said the victim was rushed to hospital.
It is in critical condition.
Minutes later, at 4:24 p.m., police were called for a third shot more than two miles from a residential complex on Lotherton Pathway, near Caledonia Road and Lawrence West Avenue.
Upon arrival, police located a man without vital signs, Lee said.  He was later pronounced dead at the scene.
No homicide investigators have been called in to investigate the attack.
A local resident described hearing six loud gunshots.  He said, “It was not low caliber. They sounded like high caliber, automatically because they went pop, pop, pop, pop, pop very loudly.”

“We have specialized units, our weapons and gangs have been deployed, and our neighborhood officers are in the area,” Lee said.
He noted that police have not yet received any suspicious information about the three shootings.
“It’s hard every day, but especially on Father’s Day, and many of us are dads. And that touches the house,” Lee said, calling the shootings “brazen.”
“It’s a matter of concern. But we want to reassure the community that we have all the support we have with the Toronto police and victim services to help these families. And we’ll make sure the community feels safe and supported. space”.

Fourth shot at an unapproved car meeting

Around 8 p.m., police responded to the city’s fourth shot in Scarborough.
Police said four people were shot at an unauthorized car rally in the parking lot near McCowan Street and Milner Avenue, north of the 401 motorway.

According to Toronto paramedics, one of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries, two others suffered serious injuries and a fourth suffered minor injuries.
Police said they were looking for a white Honda Civic that was seen leaving the area.
“No one wants these things to happen in Toronto,” Duty Insp said.  said Paul Krawczyk.  “It’s a tough day when we have to get up and talk about these things on a day like Father’s Day. But really, any day that happens in Toronto is not a good day.”
