Mr Jouvenal, a British / German dual national, has been detained since early December and is visiting the country for business and family reasons, friends said. A report on Change.org calling for his release said: “It was a difficult time for the prisoners and many people around the world took part in this campaign to show their solidarity. “I know that your signatures meant a lot to Peter’s wife, Hasina, and his three daughters, boosting their mood in the many dark days that passed without Peter.” Adam Kellicher, who launched the campaign, said he “did not know the exact details of the conditions under which the five were released.” He continued: “I have to pay tribute to Hasina, for whom Richard Parry and I have the deepest admiration. She did everything in her power to try to get her husband home and deftly navigated a political minefield. “It will undoubtedly take a long time for these five men to decompress and process what they went through. But they will return to where they need to be, with their families and those they care about. “Welcome home guys!”
