Peel’s police said that when the police arrived at Lake’s house on Sunday, a “quarrel” took place between the father and the police. As a result, a teaser was used and paramedics were called to the scene, police said. According to Peel police, Lake was charged with assault and left to paramedics. He was taken to hospital and released. Peel Regional Police told Global News that there was no further interaction with Lake once he was taken to hospital. Police said they had been to Lake’s home in the past, but no details of previous calls were released for privacy reasons.
