The man had tried to remove her but, fortunately, managed to escape. A 29-year-old man was arrested after the incident on the morning of June 17 and has since been charged.
Luis Palma, from Lower Meadow, Harlow, was charged with kidnapping, sexual assault and possession of cannabis. He is due to appear in Colchester Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday, June 20).

High visibility patrols are being carried out in the area since the incident. Essex police urge anyone with any information to do so.
Interim Chief Inspector Terry Fisher said: “I know this incident will have caused concern in the community, but such incidents are extremely rare and we believe it was an isolated incident.
“A dedicated team of specialist officers and staff continues to support the girl and her family. If you have any concerns or information about this incident, please contact us. “
