A female student was stabbed to death outside her university for allegedly refusing a marriage proposal from a fellow student. Naira Ashraf was attacked by a man as she was getting off a bus outside Mansoura University in Mansoura, central Egypt, on Monday morning. The attack took place in front of terrified spectators who tried to pull the man from Naira and in front of the security cameras. Naira was pronounced dead at the scene after several neck injuries, local media reported. The knife has shocked Egypt with images and videos of the attack circulating rapidly on the internet. The suspect, named Mohamed Adel by the Egpytian Independent, is thought to be a third-year student at the same school as Naira.
