A large fire broke out this morning in the South Main Street area of Penticton. Penticton firefighters posted on Facebook that crews responded to the fire in the area of South Main and Dauphin Avenue. Morning commuters are urged to avoid the area if possible. The fire is believed to be on the site of some new semi-detached houses that were under construction. The blaze sent flames into the early morning sky.
