Earlier this week, select streamers debuted gameplay for DMZ, a new “narrative-focused” extraction mode coming to Modern Warfare 2 that’s similar to Escape From Tarkov and launching as a beta on November 16. The feature has seen a fairly mixed reception so far, with some notable streamers already calling the feature. Dr Disrespect is one such streamer. Following the DMZ gameplay revelations, the Doctor shared his views on Twitter and they aren’t very positive, calling the feature “dead” and then listing all the reasons why he expects it to fail. THEGAMER VIDEO OF THE DAY Dr. Disrespect said, “This new DMZ mode is already dead. No one wants to play this 6th grade plan.” When fellow streamer Lupo seemed to dispute his point, Disrespect followed: “Cmon Lupo, if MW2019, Warzone Caldera, no (Capture the Flag) in mp, 8 maps, no tap sound, no ranked playlist, sbmm, killing 40 Ai’s , 100 million dollar marketing budget is any indication along with what I’ve seen…..has no chance after week 1.” In this tweet, the Doctor addresses some of the biggest problems that have plagued Modern Warfare 2 since it launched, including a lack of modes and maps, no ranked playlists, and bigger issues like skill-based matchmaking. While these aren’t necessarily related to DMZ, it does show how the issues have worn some players down. While Dr Disrespect is the biggest streamer so far to give such a negative opinion, he’s not the only one with some reservations about the feature. As reported by Dexerto, Shroud also seemed quite disappointed with DMZ, saying on-stream, “This is a very built Plunder,” Shroud said on stream. “I’m a little disappointed. I was hoping it would be grittier, a little more hardcore. It seems to be… well, CoD.” Next: My Lonely Final Fantasy 14 Existence Is Helping Me Discover The Game
