The fire broke out on several properties on the Dunfield Terrace site in the city.  Footage from the site, filmed by local filmmaker Aodhán Roberts, showed a series of well-lit properties as firefighters used an escalator to pump water into the fire.

Earlier, the PSNI had stated that it was “aware of the issues in the area and had dealt with incidents such as anti-social behavior, criminal damage and reports of security concerns”.
