Two cyclists were killed in a collision early Wednesday morning at Walpole Island First Nation. The Lambton OPP says just before 5 a.m., police officers along with members of the Walpole Island Police Service, the Walpole Island Fire and the Chatham-Kent EMS responded to a report of a vehicle hitting two cyclists on River Road. According to police, the two cyclists died and the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The investigation is ongoing and River Road is closed between Firehall Street and Austin Street.
