Detectives from the London Police Service (LPS) said on Friday they had arrested Craig Allan, 48, and Alana Lebars, 40, following a week-long investigation into the alleged murder. Fawcett was found unresponsive in Gibbons Park, London in the early hours of November 6 and later pronounced dead. Police have not said how he died or if a gun was used. Allan is charged with second-degree murder, while Lebars is charged with involuntary manslaughter. The couple is being held in custody, police said, until their next court date, which was unknown at press time. Daniel Fawcett was found dead in Gibbons Park in the early hours of Sunday, November 6. Investigators in that city issued warrants for their arrest on Oct. 26, charging Allan with three counts of theft under $5,000, two counts of fraud under $5,000 and two counts of using a credit card obtained by trespass. Lebars was charged with six counts of theft under $5,000, three counts of fraud under $5,000 and three counts of using a credit card obtained by crime.

“Best Guitarist”

Fawcett was a well-known figure in the music scene, especially in London where he lived when he was killed. He played with the hard rock band Helix from 2002 to 2004 and recently was part of an Elvis Presley tribute band called Tim ‘E’ and the Yes Men. Tim Hendry, the singer in the tribute band, said Fawcett had been having a hard time recently but had lined up gigs and was feeling upbeat. “The only thing that mattered to him was his daughter and music,” Hendry said. Fawcett had a daughter, as well as his brothers. A section of Gibbons Park in north London was closed on November 6, 2022 as London Police investigated the death of Daniel Fawcett.
