Officers responded at around 7 a.m. Friday to reports of a man in danger at 0-100 block of Castleridge Drive NE, where they found the Autumn Levi Cross Child dead in a residence. Police who were at the scene found the complainant and found that he was a suspect in a case. An autopsy on Friday confirmed Cross Child’s identity and confirmed that her death was a homicide. Brandon Noland Yellowfly has since been charged with first-degree murder. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, June 22. Cross Child’s death is Calgary’s 15th homicide in 2022, as police continue to tackle rising crime and gun-related issues.
