Five women victims said they were applauded in the Burnaby Metrotown area between March 31 and April 2, the Mounties in the city said in a press release on Tuesday. All five said the man involved was a stranger. Two more sexual assaults were reported in Vancouver at the same time, as well as an obscene act. Police in both cities and members of the Vancouver Subway Traffic Police teamed up to investigate the incident and look for a suspect who was arrested just one day after the latest attacks. They did not say how this suspect was identified. This man, Hayden McCorston, has since been charged with seven counts of sexual assault. In addition, the 27-year-old is accused of an attack, an obscene act and two thefts. He remains in custody by the police.
