Arsenal have officially revealed Fabio Vieira after the announcement of his transfer from Porto for 30 million £. The Portuguese midfielder is the first major acquisition of the Premier League club for the summer transfer window, after the arrival of goalkeeper Matt Turner and Brazilian striker Marcinho. Vieira, 22, said he “could not be more proud” of joining a “huge and historic” club like the Gunners. The deal includes 4 4 million for possible performance-related additives. He said: “I was born near Porto and have been playing in Porto since I was eight years old. I have always admired the way Arsenal play. “There are a lot of players I remember well all these years: ‘(Dennis) Bergkamp, (Cesc) Fabregas, (Santi) Cazorla, Thierry Henry. “Arsenal is a huge and historic club. “I’m so happy to be here and I could not be more proud.” Arsenal have officially revealed Fabio Vieira after announcing his move from Porto for 30 million pounds. Vieira also has an impressive 13 goals in 21 appearances for his country’s Under-21 team and was named Tournament Player at the 2021 UEFA European Championship, where Portugal finished second. The 5’7 “star scored six times and scored 14 assists as Porto won the Primeira Liga last season. He took a vacation after the season in Mykonos to complete his medical and sign for the Gunners – and the move is now complete.
