Sheriff’s deputies received a call from a man with a gun at Travelodge on the Telegraph Road around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The AIR7 HD was on stage where many patrol cars were seen at the hotel entrances. Authorities said the suspect surrendered peacefully around 7:40 a.m. Monday. There were unconfirmed reports that the man had two hostages. At one point during the confrontation, a woman was seen leaving the hotel and talking to the authorities, but it is not clear if she was detained against her will.
