According to officials, the child was taken Wednesday at about 4 pm from Keele Street. An alert was given to telephones, televisions and radio stations shortly after 7:45 p.m.
Her father was identified by the police as a suspect.
At approximately 8:15 p.m., Toronto police confirmed the child had been found and is being held safely.
