With fans anxiously awaiting the presale for Taylor Swift’s upcoming tour, many began to note shortly before the presale began that the ticketing website appeared to be down. “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties and our team is working to resolve this as soon as possible,” a message on the website said. “We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience.” The DownDetector website saw a spike in issues reports just after 8am “I think ticketmaster is down, I’m on the countdown page but I tried opening it in another tab to make sure my payment info is correct and it keeps giving me an error message,” one user tweeted. But all is not lost for Swift fans. Ticketmaster issued a statement Tuesday morning to help those looking to get hold of presale tickets. “Fans who received a code in the TaylorSwiftTix presale should log in and access the queue via the link they received via text instead of entering through the Ticketmaster homepage. This will ensure an optimal shopping experience,” the company said to NBC Chicago in a statement. However, even after the presale tickets went live, some users reported additional queuing issues. Ticketmaster acknowledged the ongoing issues and said they were “working urgently to resolve.” We are aware that fans may periodically experience issues with the site and are working urgently to resolve. -MD- — Ticketmaster (@Ticketmaster) November 15, 2022 Just after noon, Ticketmaster noted there was “historically unprecedented demand” for tickets, adding that while hundreds of thousands of tickets had been sold, those still waiting in line should continue to do so. “Lines are moving and we’re working to get fans through as quickly as possible,” the company tweeted.
