Family sources tell TMZ … Aaron’s lawyer advised him to make a will, especially since he had a dependent child. We’re told with all the drama between Aaron and his fiancee Melanie … the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services got involved and removed 11-month-old Prince from their home. She has been living with her mom Melanie since September. Aaron’s attorney still advised Aaron to make a will, but as you know circumstances have changed tragically… Aaron passed away a week ago. Turns out Prince won’t be left out in the cold. In California, and most states, when a person dies without a will and leaves a child behind, the child inherits the parent’s estate. Here’s the rub…we’re told Aaron wasn’t in good shape financially when he died. A source close to Aaron told us that he lived hand to mouth and usually spent what he earned in a short period of time. His house, however, was on the market, so the child may be safe in any equity the sale brings. TMZ broke the story, Aaron was found dead last week in his bathtub. The cause of death has not been determined pending toxicology results, which could take months.
