Grimsby Live understands that the boy, who still had the umbilical cord, is being treated in hospital. It was discovered in a brown garden bin at Langton Close off Winchester Avenue, around 5pm Sunday. There are reports that a restless resident heard cries from the bucket and after opening the lid discovered the baby among grass cuttings. The young mother of the baby was located and also transported to the hospital and is now being cared for by the competent authorities. At least four police cars and a van were at the scene along with two ambulances. Police officers were seen conducting door-to-door searches and interviewing shocked residents. The quiet street of the Nunsthorpe estate accommodates families and retirees in semi-detached houses with terraces. A resident told Grimsby Live: “Mom must have been too young to know or she did not want to know she was pregnant. An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We received a call at 4.58pm on June 19 at a private address in Grimsby. The caller reported a medical emergency.
