The incident occurred shortly before 4 pm in the area around Edmonton Trail between 36 and 37 Avenue NE Police confirmed that there was a shooting with two vehicles, although they could not say if anyone in the second vehicle returned fire and if they stopped when it took place. Police cordoned off the intersection and said calyxes were found. Closed circuit footage is collected from businesses and residents of the area. No injuries were reported and the vehicles fled the scene. Due to a police incident, several roads around Edmonton Trail and 36 Ave NE may be blocked or partially blocked. The hospitals in the area were notified by the police, in case anyone shows up. A man from Calgary saw the aftermath of a shooting at the Edmonton Trail on Monday afternoon, June 20, 2022 A witness told CTV News they were working in his office when shots were heard. “I heard about five shots and I looked out the window,” he said. “I saw the shells lying on the ground and then a black Hyundai and a lady – or looked like a lady – (was) slightly hunched over the steering wheel. “(There was) another guy in a truck who seemed to be yelling at her. (I’m not) sure what was going on. It was a little scary.” CCTV footage from businesses and locals is collected by the police. No arrests have been made.
