The 2022 US Open is open with a leaderboard full of former great champions and rising stars. After a chaotic third round that saw Will Zalatoris and Matthew Fitzpatrick take the lead, we should be ready for an action-packed finish on Sunday. In fact, seven different players held at least a portion of the lead on the Move Day, and this is something they could definitely play in the final round. Zalatoris’s 3-under 67 on Moving Day was the best round at The Country Club in Brooklyn, Massachusetts, on Saturday, a day when just seven players finished below par in a major change from the most advantageous scoring conditions of the first two rounds. Zalatoris and Fitzpatrick will be tested on Sunday by the previous action involving US Open champion Jon Rahm, starting just one shot back and 2022 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler, two behind the top. Rahm will play in the penultimate team with local favorite Keegan Bradley, while Scheffler is in the pair shortly before that with Adam Hadwin. Ten different golfers will start on Sunday four shots away from the lead, including Rory McIlroy, who sits just three behind in the 1 under. Therefore, Sunday is preparing for a fantastic finish to the national golf championship. Stay tuned to CBS Sports all week for live coverage with live scores on the US Open on National League Sunday.
