“Competitive” states are those where either party could win, while “Lean” shows where a particular party is more likely to win. “Solid” states are where a party is much more likely to win. A good sign that a party is doing well is if it wins states that are not expected to go their way. The column called % DUE shows how many of the total expected votes have been counted so far.
