Police were called after 4 p.m. on Lexington Avenue in 2000 for reports of many people being shot inside a house. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man in his 40s with a gunshot wound to the door. Police told him to leave the house for medical treatment. Police said he was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center, but the extent of his injuries is unknown. Police said they searched the home and found two other 40-year-old men with gunshot wounds. Lifeguards attempted but both men died on the spot. It is not yet known what led to the shooting. Investigators said they were working to locate a suspect who left before police arrived.
